The weekly Petroleum Abstracts Bulletin contains abstracts of the world's scientific and technical literature and patents directly related to oil and gas exploration and production.
To compile this material, PA's professional staff of petroleum engineers and geoscientists reviews journals, conference proceedings, patent gazettes, full-text patents, industry standards, books, academic dissertations, government reports and other published material. These specialists select, abstract and index the information contained in each item.
Each week's issue of the PA Bulletin includes about 800 items. All entries are in English, but PA selects from material published around the world in 33 languages. Bulletin subscribers receive this material by e-mail 50 weeks per year, in their choice of formats. Subscribers may elect to receive either the entire Bulletin or to receive customized record subsets based on user-interest profiles.
An annual subscription allows distribution of Bulletin material to all subscriber employees and locations. The Bulletin can be posted on a subscriber's internal network for access throughout the subscribing company or organization.
Published continuously since 1961, the PA Bulletin has remained the preeminent technical awareness tool for professionals in the upstream petroleum industry. Each issue carries abstracts organized into the categories below.
